Team Players: Collectives in Israeli Art

The lecture "Team Players" examines the formation and evolution of artists' collectives from the early history of Israeli art to the present day.

It is based on original research conducted for the exhibition "Team Players: Collectives in Israeli Art", presented at the Ein Hod Art Gallery in 2024.

Among the collectives explored are Ofakim Hadashim, Ten Plus, Ein Hod, HaNevi'im, The New Barbizon, and a range of artist-run galleries, among others.

The lecture offers an in-depth look at the changing models of artistic collaboration, examining how artists' collectives have functioned as a driving force in the development of Israeli art and how their roles have evolved over time.
